The 2019 ReGeneration 2030 Summit: “Changing climate, changing lifestyles!” will build upon the outcomes of the 2018 Summit, by continuing to look for and implementing solutions to reach SDG12: Responsible Consumption & Production Patterns. The 2019 Summit will also include the connection to SDG13: Climate Action.
Further, participants will get a chance to look at practical solutions for acheiving the vision of the 2018 Manifesto: "Make sustainable consumption and production the new norm in the Nordic and Baltic Sea regions” and how to work on commitments and demands on a practical level. Agenda for the 2019 Summit will be available soon!
What: A meeting place where youth discuss and propose solutions to reach The UN SDGs while creating a platform and a movement for solutions and learning across generations, the participants have the opportunity to meet & discuss solutions with key stakeholders.
Why: In sustainable development engagements, discussions often centre around the future and the world that will be transferred to the young generation. However, it is rare that the today's youth take the lead in such discussions about their present and future.
Where: The idea of ReGeneration 2030 was initiated from the local sustainability work on the Åland Islands; a network called Bärkraft. Thus, the Åland Islands became a meeting point for the Summits.
By whom: ReGeneration 2030 is organised and led by numerous organisations and partners in the Nordic and Baltic Sea Regions.
