This meeting aims to bring together Pathways to Empowerment in Gender-Based Violence Prevention project partners to discuss the structure of the handbook on gender-based violence prevention through youth work and establish a new project execution plan in line with the current situation. The meeting discussions will focus on agreeing on a common handbook scheme and setting new dates for the implementation of project mobility activities.

So far, the partners have implemented a kick-off meeting for the management of the project, partners have conducted national research on gender diversity and LGBTIQA+ rights advocacy through non-formal learning in the context of youth work within the project countries, and produced a handbook scheme that will be followed to develop a manual on empowering youth workers with gender-based violence prevention skills, and attitudes.

Based on new dates, the handbook will be presented during the upcoming training programme on Introduction to gender-based violence which aims to introduce, explore and discuss the important concepts behind gender-based violence and identify the relationship between abuse of power and gender-based violence, then define the context in which gender-based violence takes place, and moreover, explore the meaning of informed consent and its relationship to gender-based violence.
