This study visit aims at increasing the level of knowledge in the planning, designing, and implementation of non-formal education activities profiled for youth participation. The main objectives are to:

1. Improve professional qualifications and personal development of youth educators;
2. Identify the weakest areas of youth participation initiatives and directions that can allow constructive postulative and decision-making activities of young people;
3. Explore how to increase the involvement of young people in the public consultation process by exchanging opinions on the possibilities of influencing young people in political decisions at local, national level;
4. Establish new bilateral partnerships for the development of non-formal education in the non-governmental sector between organisations from Poland and Norway.

The study visit contributes to improving the quality of education in the field non-formal learning in the dimension of civic education and education for human rights: developing competencies necessary for active participation, assuming responsibility, cooperation and self-government; and social education: development of interpersonal competences necessary to achieve cohesion and high social culture. Further, the study visit integrates The Council of Europe’s education model for learning democracy: education directed towards values; civic competence for all; and practising democracy directly.
