Gender & Equal Opportunities

Gender refers to meanings, values, and characteristics that we the people attribute to different sexes. “Gender is established through socialisation”. Sexual differences are the same across the world. But being a man or a woman is very different in each society and its culture.

 

Objectives


This program helps participants to develop a common language on gender diversity and equal opportunities. The equal visibility, empowerment, responsibility and participation for both young women and men in all spheres of public and private life.

 

Activities


Delivered through TC in non-formal education settings, and have both active and experiential learning aspects. From the content focus to the problem-solving learning activities, participants are able to meet the challenges of social inclusion in different cultural settings.

 

Outcomes


Participants are able to develop gender related skills through practice on equal access to and distribution of resources between women and men, and equip their communities with the tools, knowledge and resources that are needed to achieving gender diversity.
