Human Rights Advocacy

The human rights advocacy program examines human rights issues without bias, from diverse perspectives through non-formal educational practices and critical thinking in multicultural and historical perspectives on young people struggles for justice equality and dignity.

 

Objectives


This program helps participants to develop a common language on human rights policy, in which their efforts to promote and protect human rights are integrated in all aspects of thier lives; ensure the respect for human rights as a means to achieving youth development.

 

Activities


Delivered through TC in non-formal education settings, and have both active and experiential learning aspects. From the content focus to the problem-solving learning activities, participants are able to meet the challenges of social inclusion in different cultural settings.

 

Outcomes


Participants are able to actively seek out opportunities to promote compliance with human rights obligations through dialogue and cooperation with their peers. In these efforts, human rights defenders, the independent media and civil society organisations are key partners.
