Keep an ageing mind sharp

The project seeks to create learning opportunities and conditions for empowerment for adult educators. Participants will be trained on how to evaluate adult learners competencies in media literacy and how to improve tolerance behaviours and attitudes against ageing segregation. Therefore, the trained participants will improve organisational capacities to focus beyond individual level of analysis and design inclusive learning methods and apply them in teaching or training for adults and young learners.


Further, the project seeks to promote institutional empowerment; a fundamental concept which creates opportunities for inclusion and diversity and thus encourages result dissemination and exploitation among adult educational institutions. The project reflects EU policy in the field of adult learning to close the gaps: older learners need more time to adjust to the recent technology changes than younger learners; further, older learners are subject to age discrimination which discourages their ability to learn and perform.

 

In this regards, the project’s goal is to increase the supply of high-quality adult teaching and learning programmes by sharing best practices on effective approaches in partner countries. The project’s overall objective is to examine perceptions about average age of adult learners in partner countries and factors hindering their social and professional development. The project creates opportunities to discuss current issues on ageing workforce and assess the applied approaches towards elderly adult learners' skills development.
