Through the joint project entitled Cultural Transfusion we have completed the first phase of the pilot test through test lesson according to the scenario that was created within the framework of the Cultural Transfusion project, behind us. The class was conducted in Poland at the Communal Cultural Centre, and as the participants were extremely engaged in this didactic meeting, proved that the prepared content can be used by teachers or educators in promoting the idea of humanistic contextual education.
As a part of the joint ongoing Cultural Transfusion project, we are preparing a repository with educational materials for the humanistic contextual education (HCE) for teachers and educators. The first thematic modules have already been created, which provide inspiration for their own teaching activities. The scenario that was created is part of one of the modules that has already been tested in a meeting with students, where participants had the opportunity to talk about freedom in art. The impulse for the discussion was a contemporary work of art; an art installation by Julita Wójcik entitled Rainbow, which was placed at Zbawiciela Square in Warsaw.
After the classes, participants filled out evaluation questionnaires, which will help us improve the next modules, which will then be posted in the repository. Educational resources will be on the project website. The Cultural Transfusion project benefits from a 63 452 Euro grant received from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the EEA funds. The goal of the Cultural Transfusion project is to reduce economic and social inequality in Europe. |
