This assessment tool introduces youth to the essential concepts, mindsets, and skill sets associated with entrepreneurship by providing them with the opportunity to assess their entrepreneurial knowledge. The tool derives its motivation from youth who set out to launch social ventures to make a difference by tackling the most pressing social and environmental issues, but who yet face challenges in acquiring entrepreneurial knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to launch and lead sustainable social ventures in a long-term perspective.
Further, the tool helps us design training built on and reflecting participants' existing knowledge, and experience to make sure that all participants can learn or perform at their desired rhythm. Participants’ knowledge can help or hinder the learning process; participants with prior knowledge in entrepreneurship tend to easily reach their learning expectations in the training and thus, they do not need to read a lot. But what about a participant whose prior knowledge is limited or low? So, combining learning material with self-assessment facilitates both learners to reach their learning objectives, and thereby, meet their learning needs.
