This training aims to introduce, explore and discuss the important concepts behind gender-based violence. Further, aims to identify the relationship between abuse of power and gender-based violence, then define the context in which gender-based violence takes place, and moreover, explore the meaning of informed consent and its relationship to gender-based violence.
At the end of this training participants: can present the difference between a survivor and a victim and the importance of using these words and choosing which to use and when; identify who might be at risk of becoming a victim, a survivor, or perpetrator of gender-based violence; and initiate GVB sustainable response measure addressing the potential survivors and perpetrators.
