My name is Gloria (real name) my experience for menstruation is really different from my peers. I am 19 years, but menstruation is not normal for me. I began to menstruate at my old age when I was 16 years, yet my age mate Prosy begun as early as ten years. It was a stressing experience for me because of the stigma around me and my mother regularly checking on me whether I started the journey, I used to feel furious because I had no control of it but if I had, I would have experienced them as early as possible. My mother tried herbs to stimulate the process but was all in vain. Later when they came at the age of 16, it was as if it was a very big party for me and my mother at home, I felt God had done it for me.

However, my other disappointment came in when my periods became abnormal again, it took me more six months to experience menstruation again, which made me feel inferior in my life. This time my mother took me to the hospital for checkup and to ask a doctor the possible abnormalities. The good news was that the doctor told us, that it happens but encouraged me to eat well with fruits, try avoiding stressing environments. I tried all the pieces of advice given but until now I do not experience periods monthly, still I skip some months. 

I am however worried whether I will give birth to children, I still wonder if there will be a time when my periods will be normal.
