Youth Engagement in Society. This is a long form of the title, of the European YES project. This is a project that is intended to promote commitment to use of youth within society and on social issues.
YES is about game-based learning for young people and fostering European Citizenship. The acronym of this European project YES, which also sends a positive signal towards the acceptance of the European idea. Moreover, project results aim to foster both game based learning approaches with young learners as well as fostering European Citizenship.
The YES Game is a serious game offered as a Deck Card Game. It can be played by youth groups from all over Europe and offers the opportunity to get in contact about European topics. It is all about a conception of a Serious Game to promote political or social debates of young learners. To this end, an authentic reflection of a genuine discussion and debate is to be simulated and enhanced.
Hence, young learners have to be actively involved. The YES game introduces European topics to youth groups which are supported by a youth worker or another responsible person. It offers the chance to enhance knowledge and attitudes about European topics and to come to better understanding of each other and European cultures with its similarities and differences.
Thus, the online tool of the game provides youth groups from all over Europe with the chance to play with and against each other, creating arguments and counterarguments to come to fruitful debate. |
